Juana Gómez is an artist from Chile who creates something quite magical: intricate anatomical illustrations made of embroidery. In a way the match between anatomy and embroidery seems logical: the fine lines and natural flow of the thread is quite similar to, for instance, our nerve system. Seeing these two combined is amazing! There’s always something enchanting about anatomy and seeing how our bodies work, and knowing that these pieces are stitched by hand only enhance that feeling.
You can find more of Juana’s work on her website and Instagram. Enjoy!
