Jinnn is a Korean illustrator currently living and working in New York City. There are many influences I find in Jinnn’s work that I absolutely love. The luxuriance of Alphonse Mucha’s work for one, or the influences of Dutch-Indonesian artist Jan Toorop – who made one of my all-time favorite art pieces with his work Fatalism. There’s also a Victorian vibe in Jinnn’s work: it might be hidden in the earth-toned color palette, or maybe just the gorgeous fashion. Last but not least I see referrals to David Bowie’s gender-bending alter egos in the seventies and eighties that we all know and love. All these influences together create a stunning portfolio: dark, romantic drawings that will seduce you with their beauty.
You can find more of Jinnn’s work on her website and Instagram. Enjoy!
Thanks for reading! What do you think of Jinnn’s work?
I’m currently studying for advanced higher art and I was wondering if Jinn has an active instagram or email for me to contact her as I am really interested in her work ?
For some reason, I can’t find her Instagram and her website seems down at the moment.
However, I did find this: https://www.showstudio.com/contributors/jin
I hope this helps.
