Michael Shapcott is a painter from Hartford, Connecticut. Michael has a wonderful technique; he draws highly detailed graphite drawings and covers those with a colorful layer of oil and acrylic paint. The color breathes life into his emotional portraits, making the fierce warriors he paints come to life. Michael draws inspiration from different sources: from music to various cultures, from belief systems to the energy that lives within people. I think he does a great job catching that raw, human energy in his work!
