Exhibition preview: Les Petit Fours at the Friends of Leon Gallery

Exciting news for those of you who live in or near Sydney, Australia: Beautiful Bizarre is hosting its first co-curated art show! Beautiful Bizarre, although still quite young, has quickly become a big name in the art world; constantly sharing beautiful work through their blog, social media pages and of course the wonderful, quarterly art book. I’m proud to call myself a member of the Beautiful Bizarre team, contributing guest articles to their online presence twice a month. Founding an art show has always been a dream of Danijela Krha, co-founder and editor in chief of Beautiful Bizarre, and I am super excited for her that this show is now happening.

Les Petit Fours is a collection of 26 pieces created by artists from all over the world, many showing in Australia for the first time in their career. Danijela on the show:

“Les Petit Fours is the physical manifestation of beautiful.bizarre, a chocolate box of delights to indulge your senses, but within the sweetness there is pain… and strength. Although beauty abounds, this wonderland of the feminine form in art does not hide from the travails of the female in society. I am delighted to ask you to join me as we take this next step into the world of the beautiful and the bizarre.”

I’m excited to show you a preview of the show today, displaying many artists that have been on Bleaq before and/or are personal favorites. Enjoy!
