Organically shaped objects covered with feathers by Kate MccGwire

kate-mccgwire-intro
Kate MccGwire is an artist living and working in London. Kate creates sculptures and installations of organic shapes and covers them with feathers. The combination of the weird, alien shapes covered with feathers looks beautiful: although odd at first the impeccable placement of the plumage makes the objects seem very natural. I had the pleasure of seeing one of Kate’s pieces on an art fair two years ago, and it’s amazing to see up close how detailed and natural the feathers are placed on the shapes.

You can find more of Kate’s work on her website. Enjoy!
