Josephine Cardin is a photographer from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, now living and working in Rochester, New York. When you look at Josephine’s work it won’t surprise you that she has a background as a ballet dancer! In her work (often self portraits) Josephine explores the human themes of loneliness, isolation, fear and transformation. I love how she is able to translate the elegant postures and moves of (ballet) dancer to a photograph; from movement to a still image.
You can find more of Josephine’s work on her website. Enjoy!
