Claudia Wycisk is a photographer living and working in Mainz, Germany. Claudia’s passion for photography began in 2007 when her grandmother advised her to take up photography. After portraying animals and architecture Claudia fell in love with the medium, and started portraying people as well. Her portraits are all very strong, portraying fierce models with an confident attitude and often an alternative edge. Her collaborations with fashion labels like CEXN are astonishing, showing both wonderfully weird clothing and accessories as a strong, raw portrait.
Worth mentioning is Claudia’s ongoing series ‘The Black Series’, a set of gorgeously lit low-key portraits of people in Victorian (mourning) attire. If it weren’t for the crispy sharpness of the images you wouldn’t believe they aren’t antique!
