Lorena Assisi is an artist from Rome currently working as a freelance illustrator. I always like exploring portfolios from young artists: it’s fun to compare old and new work and see where they’re heading. Lorena is following a clear path lately: where she started of with comic-influenced illustrations she now creates stunning fine-art illustrations influenced by her love for folklore and fantasy. The use of colour in her pieces is gorgeous, as are the natural elements and detail put into texture and shading. Enjoy!

Holy wow! Her work is stunning! I love the sort of warm greyscale look of some of these, punctuated with glowing cigarettes. Just amazing!
