There’s this thing with dolls: they can be absolutely stunning yet I often find them a bit creepy. Maybe it’s the way the look at you with their dead eyes or maybe I just shouldn’t have watched the movie ‘Child’s Play’ when I was a kid ;) These dolls by Lithuanian artists Jolanta and Robert are beautiful: their looks are amazing and I love the sadness in their eyes. They way these creatures are portrayed works really well too; the bleak forest settings fits them perfectly. Enjoy!

Thanks for reading! What do you think of these dolls: do they creep you out?
Wow, I absolutely love these! There’s another artist who makes absolutely stunning dolls, slightly creepier than these, but I cannot for the life of me remember her name…
Ah, Virginie Ropars.

Oh wow, those are indeed stunning! Love Acanthophis I and the lady with the red hair.
(Oh and you are always welcome to spam, hihi!)
[…] I came to realise I haven’t really featured another sculptor here before. There have been dolls, forest creatures and steam-punk skeletons, but never a whole post dedicated to porcelain. Well, […]
