It seems like the last few weeks I find myself drawn to a certain aesthetic in photography which I just can’t get enough from. Perhaps it is the changing of the seasons? I love the bleakness of the weather, the shorter days and the grey autumn afternoons… Just like the work of recently featured Alison Scarpulla the thing that fascinates me most about the work of photographer Aëla Labbé (wonderful name by the way!) is the mystery, the romance and of course the tiny bits of creepiness hidden in her work. It’s not often I’m amazed by pictures with kids on ‘em (I just think of Anne Geddes and get itchy, yek!) but Aëla’s kid-portraits are really beautiful.
