Trëz is a multi-disciplinary artist living and working in Paris, France. Trëz is one of those artists who make you think: ‘Oh wow, is there anything this guy can’t do?’ when you click through his portfolio website. From photo-manipulation to paintings, sketches, videos and even sculptures: it’s all there and it all bears the same dark signature style of its maker.
With his art Trëz portrays his view on society: showing a world where you can see what’s behind things and appearances. In another way his work makes me think about life and death. I’ve been reading a lot about corpses lately (the third book on death, ‘Memento Mori’, by Paul Koudounaris just came out and it’s spectacular!) and I though about that book a lot while writing this piece. It might be the natural brown/grey color schemes, or maybe even the mummified look of the portrayed faces. Yet wether it makes you think of life or death, there’s nothing more to say then that Trëz makes terrific work.
You can find more of Trëz’s work on his website. Enjoy!
