Kristen Philips is a sculptor and designer from Los Angeles who recently started making jewelry under the name floridXfauna. Her first collection is called ‘Crystal Ossuary I’ and was released at the end of 2014. Kristen is influenced by mutations, anomalies and hybrids, with her first collection, ‘Crystal Ossuary I’, focussing of the hybrid of crystal and bone.
As a small teaser Kristen told me she is currently working on a ‘creature collection’ in which she’ll design a creature and then create jewelry and accessories based on the anatomy of that creature. Sounds amazing right? This first collection really amazed me, the pieces all look stunning, slightly macabre and most of all unique.
