Los Angeles based artist Edward Cao paints portraits of humans, animals and insects. In his latest series of paintings he combines portraits in sober colour palettes with bright, golden geometric shapes: a combination I really love. Cao’s work is mostly series-based: he explores a certain subject, style of colour scheme for a while, and then moves on to a new era.
