When I return from a holiday or city trip and upload my photos to my computer I always see a pattern. There are a few pictures of the scenery, some street-art, a few of my boyfriend making funny faces and then a whole lot of walls. Walls with the paint coming off, dirty walls, walls layered with decaying posters, you get what I mean. I really tried to fix this pattern (it’s always weird to explain my thing with walls while showing of my photos) but I can’t help it: I just love the texture! With that story in mind you can imagine why I feel a connection with the work of Polish artist Michal Mozolewski. Michal creates digital portraits by layering a photograph with textures, stains and dust and thus creating these dark and mysterious portraits I’d like to share with you today. If you like what you see below be sure to check out his portfolio on Behance: Michal is very productive and there’s a whole lot more to see! For now I’ll leave you with a selection: enjoy!
Thanks for reading! What do you think of Michal’s work?
