Ever since I was a kid I’ve been fascinated by witches. I actually decided to become one when I was older, one wearing gorgeous black gowns, living in a small house decorated with candles in a dense forest and surrounded by animals I could speak with. That didn’t happen unfortunately (oh well, being a graphic designer isn’t bad either) but the fascination never faded. Whenever I stumble upon an artist who shares my fascination with witches, mystery and the occult I’m immediately excited! Take these beautiful photos by English artist Courtney Brooke Hall for instance: they make me want to reconsider a career in witchcraft. You can see from her work that Courtney hails from New England: the foggy, bleak landscapes compliment the mystery in her stories and models. Enjoy this selection of my favourite photos, and be sure to check Courtney’s website if you’d like to see more.
