Last week I stumbled upon the paintings of Italian artist Agostino Arrivabene on Bloodmilk’s blog and it was love at first sight. Agostino names the old masters as his influence, something clearly showing through the use of light and shadow in his paintings. Other inspirations are death, evil and pain; subjects the old masters weren’t afraid of either. Yet the surreal twist on Agostino’s paintings is something fresh and gives these paintings a unique, modern feel. Enjoy!
Thanks for reading! What do you think of Agostino’s work?
